We moved to Brooks in January 2011 to become the pastor here. Our family loves being a part of this church and community. Trina and I have served in pastoral ministry for over 20 years. Prior to Brooks I served in Associate Pastor roles, mostly in youth ministry. I love what God has called me to do in shepherding the local church body and teaching and preaching His Word to people. We have 2 boys and 2 girls ranging from university down to Grade 8 so our family life is full AND fun. In my spare time (such as it is!), I enjoy watching sports (it used to be playing, but alas, too many surgeries brought on retirement!), reading, collecting hockey cards, riding my motorcycle and any and all road trips and travel!
The Florin Family
We moved to Brooks in December 2020, although Rebecca grew up in Brooks since Grade 6. After she graduated from Ambrose University she went down to Mexico with the C&MA where she met her husband Jesus, had their daughter Andrea (born January 2020) and lived and served as an IW for 8 years. They are excited for this new chapter of their lives, to serve the Brooks community and to grow together with the BAC family taking on leadership for the Children’s Ministry (Rebecca) Youth Ministry (Rebecca and Jesus) and Community Impact (Jesus). Rebecca loves to be outside enjoying nature and the wide open spaces, driving and taking in the beautiful prairie skies and landscape, and watching a good Rom-Com. Jesus (or Chuy as many call him) enjoys reading, running, learning new things, watching and playing basketball, and is always eager to learn and practice other sports. Andrea fills their days with lots of joy as she is a very smiley happy girl who is learning new things every day.
